365/11 – Sunrise on the Range

This was the morning of our second day of shooting, when we were actually qualifiying for official score (the first day was practice).  We arrived on the range very early to get everything setup and ready to go so that as soon as the sun was high enough we could start shooting.  While we were waiting for that to happen, we were given a nice scene as the sun rose and the fog dispersed the light on our range at Camp Blanding.  I had to bump up the ISO on my G11 to get a steady shot, which added some grain, so I converted it to grayscale and thought the picture had much more punch without the colors.
