Today’s picture: Hooded

For today’s picture, I was wanting to channel the feelings my wife gets every time she goes to the Wal-Mart near our house that just sometimes gets creepy after sundown.  I wanted to create the look of a mugger hanging out in an alleyway, waiting for someone.  A faceless criminal.  Or maybe just someone who wants to hide from something.  I don’t know.  But I like this.  I can see myself revisiting this one in the future to try and improve on it.

This was done with my portable G11 camera kit.  The Lumiquest Softbox III and Nikon SB800 were put on a stand almost right on top of me, but a little forward to allow some light to hit my face.  I used a black bounce card to add some deep, subtle fill from underneath.
