Well, it had to happen some day. After starting my degree in the fall of 2001, joining the Marines in 2004, doing rescue operations after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and going on a deployment to Iraq in 2006, with no other event getting in the way since… I finally graduated college. That’s right. No more school. Nada. I’m done. Sayonara textbooks. Now it’s on the real world!
Oh wait.. you… you say you need a Masters’s in political science to get the good jobs? Oh… Ok. Umm.. hello textbooks? Please come back?
But yes, I finally have by bachelors degree. And I graduated with high honors to boot. Unfortunately, my overall GPA was a 3.80 (highest honors), but UNF only counts the classes you take there for the purpose of awarding honors, which gave me a GPA of around 3.78, just .02 away from Summa Cum Laude. Oh well, I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes. Magna Cum Laude will do. The important thing is, it’s finished and I can move on to my Masters. Thanks for all the people who’ve given me a helping hand along the way, and hopefully with classes over (for now) I can take some pictures. More likely though, I’ll probably get to work on the “honey do” list I have awaiting me. Gotta love life.
