I’ve had the urge for a long time now to get the stories of the homeless people I meet everyday. For the first time last week, I was able to not only sit down and get a photo of one the regulars that come in, but I was also able to interview him. Needless to say, I did not expect the story of this guy’s life to be what it was. I could keep writing about him for a good while, but instead I’ll just point you to a new feature I’m going to running on my blog titled “Stories of the Homeless”. I have one completed right now, but I’ve already interviewed another and I have one more scheduled soon. I want to give due diligence to what these men and women tell me so I won’t be rushing them out. But once they are finished, I’ll be posting them here.
Well, actually they won’t be posted here, rather I will have a special page set up where they will get cataloged. But, for some reason WordPress won’t let me put the page up on the sidebar so I’m trying to work that out. Look for a “Stories of the Homeless” link in the “Important Stuff” section hopefully in the near future. For now, click the link below.
I’m really excited about this project and I’d appreciate any feedback you’d be willing to post. Thanks.
Update: I now have the link working under the “Important Stuff” section. In the future, you can click on that link and all of the interviews I do will be cataloged there. Check back there in the event you miss a few.
