So, I guess you could say I’m falling behind a little on the whole “photo a day” challenge I made for myself. Well, not this day. I actually had a few minutes to set up a mini-studio in my computer room to try and redo the portrait set up I had done a couple of weeks ago. The previous ones were underexposed, so I figured this time I’d try and get it right.
Well, I didn’t. But, hey, when you’re short on time, Photoshop is your friend. I brightened it up a little and added some contrast, but, other than that, this is straight out of the camera.
To be honest, I had no idea what kind of portrait to take since I’d already used up the best of my creative juices during my previous attempt. Well.. ok, I probably have more creative juice than that, just not for the same, near identical setup. So, in a spark of pure genius on my part, I pulled out my cell phone and looked at it. Bam, the shutter clicked and history was made. And by history, I mean something you’ll forget about next week, or in 10 minutes, either or.
But, it’s progress. Progress toward learning new techniques and getting out there and taking photos, something I need to do a LOT more of. Hopefully soon I can convince Sarah to get in on the fun, that way you’re not stuck looking at pictures of my ugly mug beautiful face.
