Well, I became a Jaguars fan last season. Actually, I became a fan of football last season. I never really spent time watching the games or following it, but, for some reason last year I did. It could have been the great run by the Jags, but, who knows.
Anyhow, I was a bit disappointed by their 0-2 start this season and when I left to go to church on Sunday, they were down 14-10 in the second half and Garrard just threw his third interception for the season. I figured they were gonna lose it, turned off the TV and left to head to church. I still had the game recording on DVR and boy am I glad I did. They came back and won the game with a clinch kick by Josh Scobee.
Beyond all that, even if they lost, I’ve got to give Fred Taylor credit. His impressive 34 yard run on a broken play was awesome. I mean, whenever it comes to the point that the quarterback is blocking for you, you know you’re screwed, but after taking two separate hits head on, Taylor emerged from the pack to pick up even more yardage. I’ve tried to find a clip of this on YouTube, but there isn’t one.
So instead, I have a link to the NFL site that has the replay from the game. Go to 1:13 to see Fred’s crazy run.
