Today is an interesting day for me. On my birthday this year my wife, Sarah, gave me a number of gifts and one of those gifts was a one hour massage from a place called Massage Envy with a location in Jacksonvile. Naturally, I was pretty excited. My first professional massage ever and it was a gift from my wife on my birthday. How sweet.
Well, I’ve been having trouble sleeping recently because my back, beyond the damage it took on my last deployment, has a huge, golf ball size knot to the inside of my right shoulder blade. Nothing like waking up in the morning and your first breathes hurt. So I called them up today and they scheduled me for an appointment this afternoon. Now I’m pumped, yet nervous. I’m excited because I’ll finally be rid of this stupid knot but apparently I’ll be sore for a few days before I feel the really good effects of getting a deep tissue massage (yes, THAT kind of massage).
Beyond the juices that will flowing after I get that massage, I’ve also decided to start a “picture notebook”. Every time I see a photo I like I’m going to cut it out and paste it into a composition notebook and work on taking one just like it. I figure this way I’ll learn some new stuff and get a little more focused. But I’ll still be working on getting that SB800 RPT tutorial up soon as well.
I finish this post with an interesting picture I saw in the Strobist pool over on Flickr. Enjoy!
