Well, Tropical Storm Fay has passed over Jacksonville and it gave a whole lot of rain to a whole lot of people, but it seems that, with the exception of some minor damage, the city (and Sarah and I) have walked away relatively unscathed. I did, however, walk out to find around 3-5 inches of water in the passenger side of my car, though. I’ve got a picture of it somewhere, so I’ll put it up when I find it, but, that was rather frustrating. The window wasn’t sealing right for some reason I guess.
However, the storm did give Sarah and me some time to spend together. We played dominos a bit and that was… fun. I say that hesitantly because Sarah pretty much dominated me the whole time. I mean it wasn’t even close. You know, when there is a race, and the second place person crosses the finish line by like a foot behind the first place runner, they feel bummed, but at least they knew it was close? Yeah, I don’t have that feeling at all. I feel like the poor guy who tripped right he was starting the race, skinned up his knee and tore a ligament in his leg and was not even able to compete but had to watch the other guy win. That’s me.
But, I did get some consolation when we made pigs in a blanket for some friends who came over. I love the little things. And now that I know just how easy and quick they are to make… oh, boy, watch out little piggies. It also gave me the chance to take this picture.
I call it “Forbidden Love”:
Not only are they delicious, but they are cute too. Look at them, snuggling together, right before they get devoured by a pack of hungry 20-something year olds. And devoured they were. Man… I’m making myself hungry just staring at them.
Well, gotta go. Look for another update on Nuts soon. I hear he’s made some progress in his quest to rid the world of rogue militant terrorist stuffed animals.
