I’m back – with a video to boot! (plus pics of the ‘stache’)

Hello everyone! Well, we did great according to our Commanding Officer. We came back Friday and he’s so satisfied with how little sleep and time off we’ve gotten over the last two months that he put in for us to have a 72 hour pass this weekend (Sat-Mon off), so we’re all scattering to take care of long overdue problems (like a mound of dirty clothes from the field this past week) and such.

I got shafted A LOT on this past field op. I should just be given the job of MP after all the watch I did. I went out on two ops during the exercise and was severaly angry about it, but, kept my composure the whole time. I did around probably 36+ hours of watch the whole time. Got around 2-4 hours of sleep a night (though not all nights) but wasn’t too drained. Anyway, it went well. Enough of that.

We’ve gotten our official leave dates. I’ll be back home in time for church Sunday, March 5th and I need to be back here no later than probably 4pm Sunday March 19th. Two weeks of leave. We’re pretty uplifted by the news. I probably won’t get to see Justin when he comes in unless something happens for him to get stuck here, unfortunately.

I also have some pictures here of my new ‘warstache’ as well call them (a mustache you shave off when you come home from the war). You can see the current one as of today and it beginning in a picture in video I’ll put up here at the end of this. The darn thing is so blonde you don’t even know its there until you’re almost right next to me.

I also put together a little video with some of the pictures I have of almost everyone. It’s something funny we can all enjoy hopefully, maybe even get a little embarassed at. Hope you enjoy it, I know I do. Helps me remember everyone the way they really are.
