VCP and ECP training pics

Hey everyone. I would have updated sooner but this week has been so busy and frustrating (I’ll post on that in a later post) that the 14 hour plus days we’ve been putting in don’t afford us much time to take care of non-training essential stuff like this.

The picture above is from us doing house breaching and room clearing tactics. It was good training overall that day, namely because I wasn’t with a certain leader that’s incompetent.

I’ve made some adjustments to my gear, namely the drop pouch I bought for my magazines on my thigh, a camelback holder that is attached to my flak jacket, and a one-point sling I made from a crappy sling they gave us. If you look at my weapon it only connects to the rifle at the buttstock (one-point), instead of two points like I was using.

This was…. Thursday I believe. We set up VCPs (Vehicle Control Points) and ECPs (Enemy Control Points) and actually cordoned off a certain small area of the base and set up a roadblock, which in turn infuriated local traffic since they had to go through hoops to get through. It would have been good training if not for the person in charge of us. He’s hopeless. He’s going to get someone killed, and he just confused the situation 90% of the time. Anyways, here’s the pics.
